What is the Infant Health Equity Supplement?
In 2021, 21 Healthy Start grantees received supplemental funding through the Healthy Start Initiative: Eliminating Disparities in Perinatal Health: Action Plans for Infant Health Equity (IHE). These grantees worked to develop an action plan, including innovative data-driven policy and systems-level strategies, to address the social and structural determinants of health that impact infant mortality disparities in Healthy Start communities.
The TASC provided technical assistance for these grantees, including a webinar series focused on the action planning process, subject matter expert review of and guidance on draft action plans, and an action plan toolkit.
