Fatherhood Talk Tuesday: Men and Substance Use

The April Fatherhood Talk Tuesday featured Dr. Derrick Gordon, Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine and the Director of Research, Policy, and Program on Male Development at the Yale School of Medicine Consultation Center. Dr. Gordon discussed substance abuse among men, a prevalent issue in the United States today. According to the CDC, in 2017, 13.7% of men in the United States reported use of illicit drugs and 55.5% reported alcohol use, with 8.3% classified as heavy alcohol use.
