Perinatal Mental Health: Mood & Anxiety Disorders

June 25, 2020

This session will focus on ways to support the emotional and mental health needs of families during pregnancy and postpartum. We will discuss how to identify and communicate about mental health concerns, signs and symptoms, including postpartum depression, anxiety, and loneliness. We will explore how we use our strengths of listening, reflecting, and identifying tools to help families move forward, and share best practices in making referrals and connecting with resources. Resource handouts for moms and dads, and plenty of time for questions. We will also share how the work of supporting families affects you, and how to understand your role, boundaries, and tools for self-care.
