What is TIROE?
The Healthy Start TA & Support Center (TASC) and Dr. Linda Henderson-Smith, President and CEO of ATC Consulting, LLC, worked together to develop a framework that intentionally infuses equity into traditional trauma-informed care (TIC) principles and practices. This framework – Trauma-Informed Resilience-Oriented, and Equitable Care (TIROE) – targets the intersection between structural inequities and trauma.
