Hear From Your Peers: Fatherhood Programs: Assessing Readiness & Sustainability

This webinar highlighted the value of father inclusion and provide an overview of agency and program readiness to implement a sustainable fatherhood program or initiative. The Division of Healthy Start and Perinatal Services (DHSPS) opened the webinar with a description of the importance of father inclusion, expected outcomes, and Healthy Start funding implications. Participants then heard from three Healthy Start grantees, New Haven Healthy Start in New Haven, Connecticut; Magnolia Project in Jacksonville, Florida; and Strong Beginnings in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who shared their experiences and lessons learned during the assessment and implementation phases of their fatherhood programs.
