In the Harambee: Creating Context for Equity and Justice Webinar, presented by Denise Evans MM, MA of Strong Beginnings Healthy Start, we are “all pulling together” with our National Healthy Start family. This webinar focused on improving our understanding of equity and justice in the midst of the multiple pandemics facing the communities that we serve.  Harambee is a Swahili term meaning “synergy”. It represents the Kenyan tradition of community self-help events often connected with community development activities. Harambee is the official motto of Kenya, and we set it as an intention for our work in 2021.
