Webinar Series: Caring for Families during Pregnancy, Birth, and Beyond: Addressing Intimate Partner Violence in Healthy Start Programs

October 29, 2026 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
EST

Join the Healthy Start Technical Assistance and Support Center (TASC) and Futures Without Violence (FUTURES) for a three-part virtual training series focused on strengthening Healthy Start programs’ response to intimate partner violence (IPV).

Pregnancy and the postpartum period can increase vulnerability to IPV, and Healthy Start staff are uniquely positioned to provide education, support, and connections to community-based resources in ways that are safe and compassionate.

Throughout the series, participants will learn about the impact of IPV on perinatal health and explore practical strategies for using the evidence-based CUES intervention with Healthy Start families. Sessions will provide opportunities to practice the CUES approach, share implementation experiences and strategies with peers, and explore considerations for rural communities and engaging fathers.

Staff from the Futures Without Violence National Health Resource Center on Domestic Violence will provide practical, ready-to-use strategies, client-facing resources, and ongoing support to help Healthy Start programs develop sustainable approaches to supporting families experiencing IPV.

Part II: Implementing CUES in Healthy Start Settings: Peer Sharing | Thursday, November 19 | 3:00-4:30PM EST
