MATCHS Mentoring Program

MATCHS Mentoring Program

The Mentoring Assistance and Technical Coaching for Healthy Start (MATCHS) Mentoring Program provides peer-to-peer learning and mentoring support to Healthy Start (HS) and Healthy Start Enhanced (HSE) Project Directors. It leverages and optimizes the experiences, strengths, skills, and expertise of experienced HS grantees (i.e., mentors) to engage less-experienced peers (i.e., mentees) in a meaningful learning exchange, aimed at strengthening organizational leadership and program performance.

Mentors will draw from their experience working in and leading their community-based programs to share useful insights and information that supports mentees leadership and program performance. By being paired in an intentional way – based on factors like organizational type, region and population served, and years of experience in HS, subject matter expertise and experience – mentor/mentee pairs will develop relevant objectives and expect realistic outcomes during their time working together.

Mentors and mentees can expect to spend at least 2-3 hours per month on the MATCHS mentoring program over the course of six months.

To learn more about the program, check out the MATCHS Mentoring Program Informational Webinar.
