COVID-19 Resources: Webinar 1: The Impact of COVID-19 on Breastfeeding

To support Healthy Start grantees in providing virtual breastfeeding support and meeting the breastfeeding benchmarks in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Healthy Start TA & Support Center has launched a four-part Breastfeeding & COVID-19 webinar series. The first webinar in this series was held on Tuesday, October 20 from 2-3:30 p.m. EST.

During this webinar, we heard from Cathy Carothers, IBCLC, FILCA of Every Mother, Inc. Cathy provided an overview of the latest evidence related to COVID-19 and breastfeeding, discussed any health or safety concerns, and shared strategies for supporting staff mental health during the pandemic.
