Ask the Expert: Oral Health: Why It’s Important and What Healthy Start Communities Can Do To Improve It

This webinar provided information and materials about improving the oral health of women, before, during, and after pregnancy and giving infants up to age two a healthy start.
At the end of this webinar, participants were able to:
- Identify at least 2 current and emerging oral health issues relevant to Healthy Start communities.
- Describe the role of the National Maternal and Child Oral Health Resource Center (OHRC) in responding to the needs of Healthy Start communities in addressing oral health issues.
- Discuss at least 2 methods that OHRC uses to support health professionals, program administrators, educators, policymakers, and others with the goal of improving oral health services for Healthy Start communities.
- Identify at least 2 federal, state, and local agencies; national and state organizations and associations; and foundations with whom Healthy Start communities can collaborate to gather, develop, and share high-quality and valued information and materials.
