Please join the Healthy Start Technical Assistance and Support Center (TASC) on Thursday, October 29, from 3:00–4:30 p.m. ET for Addressing IPV in Healthy Start Programs: The CUES Universal Education Intervention, the first session in our three-part webinar series, Caring for Families during Pregnancy, Birth, and Beyond: Addressing Intimate Partner Violence in Healthy Start Programs.
Pregnancy and the postpartum period can increase vulnerability to intimate partner violence (IPV), and Healthy Start staff are uniquely positioned to provide education, support, and connections to resources in ways that are safe and compassionate.
During this session, experts from Futures Without Violence (FUTURES) will discuss the impact of IPV on perinatal health and introduce the evidence-based CUES intervention, a universal education approach that can be integrated into Healthy Start services. Participants will have an opportunity to practice the CUES approach and receive practical tools, including sample scripts, video vignettes, and safety card resources, to support implementation within their programs.
